BodyTite: bridging the gap between surgical and non-surgical fat reduction and body contouring
Sometimes there comes a point when a healthy diet and exercise regimen don’t achieve the outcomes we desire but we don’t want to resort to surgery and lengthy downtimes. For the right candidate, BodyTite offers an ideal alternative.
BodyTite is a world-leading approach to body contouring. Like the EmbraceRF FaceTite non-surgical facelift, BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that removes unwanted fat, delivering results previously achieved only through more invasive surgical liposuction.
Importantly, a key advantage of BodyTite procedure is that in addition to precision fat removal, it offers significant skin tightening, helping to smooth and firm sagging, loose skin.
Using radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) technology, BodyTite delivers unprecedented three-dimensional contraction of the dermis, subdermal connective tissue and deep fat. The RF energy emitted gently breaks down and “melts” unwanted subcutaneous fat cells, leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed. At the same time, the tissue contraction immediately tightens the skin for a smoother, more toned appearance.
Dr Gav and his team have significant experience with all EmbraceRF treatments, delivering best-in-class results for face and body contouring. We invite you to book a consultation with one of our Senior Cosmetic Physicians to tailor a treatment plan based on your individual goals and desired outcomes.
In 2022, Pavilion Cosmetic Medicine was recognised by InMode as a high achiever in the TOP EmbraceRF clinic category (Australia wide). EmbraceRF is the underlying platform and technology that delivers the BodyTite treatment. Pavilion Cosmetic Medicine were also recognised as the TOP Morpheus8 Clinic; for Morpheus8 Skin Tightening, which is another radio-frequency treatment powered by the EmbraceRF platform.

Results
In just one treatment, BodyTite can provide significant fat reduction and achieve the body contouring goals you desire. The result is a more sculpted and proportionate silhouette, with noticeably more toned and tightened skin.
Initial results can be seen immediately, but swelling and some bruising should be expected. You should see continued improvements over the coming days and months as swelling resolves. The final outcome should be apparent around 3 to 6 months.
Much like a surgical liposuction procedure, the results are often long lasting as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and your weight doesn’t fluctuate too much.
What to expect
Consultation and Treatment Planning
You’ll first consult with one of our highly skilled and experienced cosmetic doctors, who will explain the benefits and limitations of the procedure. Your PCM doctor will also ascertain whether you’re a good candidate for BodyTite after assessing your aesthetic concerns and listening to your concerns, treatment goals and expectations.
If you plan to proceed, your doctor will then tailor a treatment plan according to your areas of concern and the outcomes you wish to achieve.
Procedure
BodyTite is performed under local anaesthetic in-clinic by your Pavilion Cosmetic Medicine doctor.
First, small strategically-placed incisions are made. The BodyTite probe is then inserted into these incisions, delivering the RF energy to liquefy unwanted fat. A gentle low-suction device then removes the emulsified fat – with greater ease and less trauma to surrounding tissues than traditional surgical methods.
Downtime and Recovery
Like the FaceTite non-surgical facelift, the downtime is significantly less than with traditional surgical procedures. Depending on the area treated, number of areas and how much fat was removed, downtime averages 3 to 7 days.
Mild pain, swelling and bruising is expected but will typically start to resolve after a few days.
Recovery is based on the extent of the treatment as well as your individual healing response. Most of our patients return to work about a week after their procedure, and resume exercise after 2 to 3 weeks.
Compression garments should be worn for the first 1 to 2 weeks to help your body better conform to its new contours.
Frequently asked questions
Who is a good candidate for BodyTite?
Generally, an ideal candidate is at or near their ideal body weight with persistent areas of excess fat and mild to moderate skin laxity. BodyTite, just like traditional liposuction, is not intended as a weight-loss procedure.
How long do results last?
Once fat cells are removed, they are gone forever, so fat reduction results from BodyTite can be long lasting, depending on whether you maintain your weight at the time of the procedure.
Will I have to wear compression garments after BodyTite?
Yes, you should wear a compression garment for 1 to 2 weeks after your procedure to help your body contour to its new proportions. Your doctor will give you extensive pre and post care information to ensure your results are maximised.
When can I return to work after BodyTite treatment?
Depending on the extent of your treatment, you can usually return to work 4-7 days after your BodyTite procedure.
What makes BodyTite less invasive than surgical liposuction?
BodyTite is minimally invasive because only very small incisions are required. What’s more, the RF energy that dissolves the fat makes it easier to remove the fat via suction. This means you should experience less pain and a faster recovery compared with traditional liposuction surgery.
For these reasons, BodyTite can be performed with local anaesthetic only.
Generally speaking, you should expect some discomfort, but no pain.
