Pavilion Cosmetic Medicine are featured in Marie Claire for the Morpheus8 treatment.

Much has been said about the impressive results of Morpheus8 for morphing and sculpting the ageing face, and now with Morpheus8 Body we can offer a customisable, full-body treatment for our patients to effectively remodel fatty tissue, contouring areas of the body to achieve natural-looking plump, firm and smooth skin. It can be used to treat loose and crepey skin on areas including the knees, abdomen, arms, thighs and buttocks, as well as smooth the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

Morpheus8 Body is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling technology suitable for all skin types and can treat a wide range of skin concerns. It is a minimally invasive treatment that delivers radiofrequency waves to the deeper layers of tissue via a series of super-fine medical-grade microneedles. Together, this combination stimulates your body’s production of new collagen and elastin while remodelling, or ‘morphing’, fatty tissue for tighter and smoother skin and enhanced body contours.

Morpheus8 Body can effectively treat the following areas of the body:

  • Abdomen
  • Décolletage
  • Arms
  • Knees
  • Thighs
  • Buttocks

Results

You should start to see noticeable improvement in skin tone and texture within a few days after treatment. Your skin will continue to improve, gradually becoming tighter and smoother over a period of 3 months as your body creates new collagen-rich tissue.

Morpheus8 Body treatments are long-lasting, usually requiring a maintenance treatment 1-2 times a year for prolonged results.

Depending on the strength of your treatment, a single treatment or a series of 3-4 treatments may be recommended to achieve optimal results. During your consultation, our Cosmetic Practitioner will work with you to tailor a treatment plan for your specific needs, requirements and desired outcomes.

Depending on the area and your treatment goals, most of our patients require 1-3 Morpheus8 Body treatments to achieve optimal results.

What to expect

Your Treatment Experience

In your consultation, your Cosmetic Practitioner will listen to your concerns and aesthetic goals, explain the Morpheus8 Body procedure and explain the likely results it can achieve in relation to your personal goals, then he will recommend the best treatment plan for you.

Morpheus8 Body treatment is straightforward and should take around 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area(s).

A topical numbing cream is first applied to make your experience as comfortable as possible (with the option of Doctor-administered local anaesthetic). You may feel some slight discomfort but there should be no pain involved.

During the procedure, a hand-held device with a matrix of micro pins is gently passed over the skin. These small pins create tiny punctures in the skin and deliver radiofrequency to the deeper tissues, working at different energies to stimulate collagen and adipose tissue (fat) remodelling.

A Morpheus8 Body treatment has a small downtime of 2-3 days, though most of our patients choose to return to work the day after their treatment.

You can expect some redness, swelling and itchiness for a few days following the procedure, as well as temporary “dots” from the microneedles.

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I have Morpheus8 on my stomach after giving birth?

Yes you can! This is a common area we treat and we get fantastic results for those who have mild skin laxity, stretch marks and stubborn fat pockets affecting the stomach area.

How many Morpheus8 treatments do I need until I see a result?

This depends on the individual, the concerns and history of our patient. Typically, to achieve optimal results with Morpheus8, we recommend anywhere from 3-6 treatment sessions, at 6 week intervals.

Does Morpheus8 help get rid of cellulite?

Morpheus8 can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, however, its treatment cannot remove the appearance completely.

I have red and white stretch marks, does Morpheus remove these?

Whilst we can get great results using Morpheus8 with reducing the appearance of stretch marks and increasing skin elasticity and texture, stretchmarks cannot be permanently removed (merely reduced). We may recommend other alternative treatments depending on the location, size and colour of the stretch mark to further reduce the appearance of stretch marks. We recommend scheduling a consultation so that our cosmetic practitioner can assess the area and tailor an appropriate treatment plan.
